    (Ovis aries)

  • High-throughput genotyping technology is essential for identifying and developing superior sheep varieties. Our Genotyping by Target Sequencing (GBTS) technology combines the benefits of array-based methods and high-throughput sequencing, offering unique advantages in customization, throughput, and costeffectiveness. Utilizing this advanced GBTS technology, we have developed a comprehensive range of ready-to-use liquid sheep marker panels with varying marker densities. These panels are designed to accommodate a diverse array of sample types, including sheep blood, hair follicles, semen, or other tissues.

In addition to our extensive portfolio of genotyping panels, we offer customized services to meet your specific requirements. By providing your unique SNP list, we can efficiently design cost-effective liquid-phase panels, available in low to high densities, that seamlessly align with your research or breeding objectives.

Elevate your breeding programs with our innovative sheep panels, crafted to enhance your efforts in sheep breed development and improve overall flock performance.

    GenoBaits® Sheep 40K Panel

The high-density 40K Panel is developed using whole-genome re-sequencing data from 587 sheep and their wild relatives worldwide, optimized with Borudy's GenoBaits® technology, and retains an impressive 40,762 loci. This panel also facilitates the creation of the Sheep 20K and Sheep 10K Panels to accommodate various research needs. Additionally, 26 target regions on the Y chromosome have been designed (NCBI: CM022046.1) for early sex determination. The panel also includes approximately 150 trait-related genes, providing improved characterization of the flock and enhanced breeding value assessment.

    GenoPrep® Sheep-FecB Panel

The GenoPrep® Sheep-FecB Panel employs the TaqMan probe method to rapidly and comprehensively identify individuals carrying FecB dominant genotypes in the sheep population, thus assisting ranches with early selection of the highly productive breeding stock. This effectively enhances population reproductive efficiency, accelerates genetic improvement in sheep's lambing number, lambing rate, and other traits, thereby facilitating continuous optimization of the population.
